Street scene in Hanoi, Vietnam
Hanoi is one of Geert’s favourite cities. The old French Quarter where he stayed in a hotel of a friend, was a paradise for sketching, as many Asian cities are. He took a long break here, visited the incredible HaLong Bay, and prepared to fly to the Netherlands. His respect for the Vietnamese people who have endured so much [and still do] is huge.
