Because of the rains, the bush, the scrub, and the tracks, were mostly wet. I therefore sketched primarily from the dry comfort of the shelters on the Bibb. There would always be a large table where I could cook, sketch and write, as well as some of these tables placed outside the shelters in the often marvellous tent sites. Most shelters also had two rainwater tanks
